1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Reverso("Reverso", "we", "our", or "us").
By downloading, installing, or using the Reverso mobile application on iOS or Android, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You may use Reverso only if you can legally enter into a binding agreement under applicable law.
If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must use Reverso with permission of a parent or legal guardian.

3. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Reverso for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or reverse engineer the app, except where permitted by law;
  • use the app for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity;
  • attempt to interfere with app security, availability, or integrity.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us.

4. App Features and Service Scope

Reverso provides language-learning functionality, including:

  • flashcard/deck creation and study modes;
  • optional AI chat assistance;
  • optional text-to-speech playback;
  • optional push notifications and study reminders;
  • home-screen widgets (for example, streak tracking);
  • file import for decks and flashcard data;
  • optional audio recording for pronunciation practice;
  • optional subscription-based premium features.

Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time.

5. User Content

You are responsible for content you add to Reverso, including deck names, flashcards, notes, and chat prompts.

You agree not to submit content that:

  • violates applicable law;
  • infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • contains harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal material.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us and our processors a limited right to process content only as needed to provide the app features you use (for example, AI processing when you send a chat request).

6. AI Features Disclaimer

Reverso may provide AI-generated responses through third-party providers (for example, Google Gemini).
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or outdated.

You agree that:

  • AI output is for informational/learning purposes only;
  • you will independently verify important information;
  • you will not rely on AI output as legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials

Some features are available through paid subscriptions (for example, Reverso Pro).

  • Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • Subscription management (including entitlement verification) may be handled by RevenueCat.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before renewal.
  • Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before trial end.
  • Pricing may change as allowed by platform rules and applicable law.

For billing, refunds, and cancellations, the applicable store policies control:

  • Apple App Store terms and policies
  • Google Play terms and policies

8. Third-Party Services

Reverso may rely on third-party services, including:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play (distribution, payments);
  • RevenueCat (subscription status);
  • Google Gemini (AI responses);
  • PostHog (analytics);
  • Expo/EAS and related infrastructure services.

Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Privacy

Your use of Reverso is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using Reverso, you acknowledge that processing described in the Privacy Policy may occur.

10. Intellectual Property

The app, branding, software, UI, and related materials (excluding your own content) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not use our name, logo, or brand assets without prior written permission.

11. Acceptable Use and Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • use Reverso to violate any law or regulation;
  • upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt services;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect data from the app in unauthorized ways;
  • use Reverso to generate or distribute harmful or illegal content.

We may limit or suspend access if we reasonably believe these Terms are violated.

12. Disclaimers

Reverso is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the app will be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • all data will always be available;
  • AI responses will be accurate or suitable for your purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill resulting from your use of Reverso.

If liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Reverso in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or USD 50 if greater).

This does not limit liability where prohibited by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Reverso and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from:

  • your misuse of the app;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.

15. Termination

You may stop using Reverso at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to some or all features at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms or if required for legal/security reasons.

Sections that by nature should survive termination remain in effect (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits).

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of Reverso after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the jurisdiction where the app operator is established, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence provide otherwise.

You and we agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before initiating formal proceedings.
