Welcome to Contactos ("we", "our", or "us"). Contactos is a contacts and call-management application available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our mobile application.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users. Contactos is designed to keep your contact data on your device. This policy is written in plain language so that anyone can understand it.

By using Contactos, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Information We Collect

Custom contacts, groups, favorites, messenger handles (Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber), theme and language preferences are stored only on your device using local on-device storage (AsyncStorage).

When you grant permission, the app reads contacts from your device agenda to display and organize them. Contactos stores only app-specific overlays locally (for example favorites, custom groups, and messenger handles). Device contact data itself remains on your phone.

On Android, when you grant permission, the app may read your call log to show recent calls in the Calls tab. Call log data is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers. We do not operate cloud servers and do not collect payment information.

4. How We Use Information

  • Organize and manage contacts, groups, and favorites.
  • Sync and display contacts from your device agenda when you allow access.
  • Show recent calls on Android when you allow call-log access.
  • Export contacts to TXT, CSV, or PDF when you choose to export.
  • Open messenger apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber) or the system share sheet when you choose to share a contact.

We do not sell personal data, do not use data for advertising, and do not build user profiles.

Contactos is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will help you remove local app data by uninstalling the app.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, deletion, correction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.

Most data is stored on your device. You can revoke contacts or call-log permissions in system settings, delete app data, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored information.

Contactos is available worldwide. Data stays on your device unless you export or share it yourself.

9. Data Security

We apply reasonable safeguards in the app. Device-level protection (PIN, biometrics, encryption) is an important part of your security.

10. Data Retention

  • Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
  • Exported files are saved or shared through your device's system dialogs; we do not retain copies.

11. Information We Access

Permissions are requested only for features you use. They may differ slightly between iOS and Android.

  • Contacts: read and optionally write device contacts when you sync with the phone agenda.
  • Photo library: images you choose for contact avatars.
  • Call log (Android): display recent calls in the Calls tab.
  • Phone (Android): place calls from the app.
  • Share/export: files you export are created on-device; sharing uses the system share sheet. Messenger links open WhatsApp, Telegram, or Viber if installed.

We may update this policy and revise the Last Updated date.
